LATEST: Kilkenny among 744 new cases of virus as 33 further deaths confirmed
A further 33 people have died after contracting the coronavirus as 744 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed.
The overall death toll as a result of the virus has now reached 3,980.
There have now been 211,113 confirmed cases of Covid-19 across the country, according to the latest daily briefing from the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET).
The breakdown of the latest cases is as follows: 301 in Dublin, 77 in Galway, 37 in Waterford, 36 in Offaly, 32 in Kildare and the remaining 261 cases are spread across all other counties, including 8 further infections in Kilkenny.
