Man brutally attacked in Kilkenny on St Patrick’s Day
A man was rushed to hospital after he was brutally attacked in Kilkenny city.
The assault occurred in the Connolly Street area between 9.30pm and 10.30pm on St Patrick’s Day.
The 30-year-old victim was struck on the head, receiving cuts above his eye and to the side of his face.
His attacker, who was not known to him, then fled the scene on a bicycle.
The victim was taken to St Luke’s General Hospital where he received stitches for his injuries.
Local gardai are investigating the attack. They have urged witnesses or anyone with information about the incident to contact Kilkenny Garda Station on 056 777 5000.
