LET’S face it: you’ve been dreaming about it all week long, but now the Bank Holiday weekend is finally here!
And so far the omens look good: the sun has come out to play at the right time – and Kilkenny are into the All-Ireland final! What could possibly go ….
Anyway, before we go too mad, here’s a few top options for letting your hair down over the long weekend.

If you haven’t been to any festivals yet this summer, or if you fancy another, the Kilkenny Outdoor Music Festival is on tomorrow and Sunday in Castlecomer. Artists performing include Paddy Casey, Hudson Taylor, The Frank & Walters, The Alkove, DJ Welshy and Liam Geddes. You can finish the weekend on a high at the as Davey Cashin, Pete Fagan & Band take to the stage on 9pm at the Left Bank. Or pop into Kyteler’s Inn to enjoy Abbey Folk at 6pm and Roisin Dubh at 8:30pm.
