Moondance – Jupiter will be visible above the skies of Kilkenny tonight
JUPITER will be so close in the skies above Kilkenny tonight that star gazers will be able to view some of its many moons through binoculars.
The largest planet in the galaxy will be at it’s closet orbit to the earth this year between 9pm tonight until 5am tomorrow.
Jupiter, Earth and the Sun are arranged in a straight line with Earth in the middle and this event known as “opposition”.
Jupiter will be just above the horizon towards the South East at midnight tonight.
