Murder investigation launched as woman dies after being attacked with sword
Gardai have launched a murder investigation after a woman died after being attacked with what is believed is a sword in Dublin.
Gardaí in Blanchardstown are currently at the scene of the fatal assault at a house in Willow Wood, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15.
The woman, believed to be in her 60s, received fatal injuries as a result of the incident and her body remains at the scene.
A man, also 60s, has been arrested at the scene and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Blanchardstown Garda Station.
