New film from Kilkenny’s Cartoon Saloon wolfs FIVE awards in two days
The latest critically-acclaimed feature-length animation from Kilkenny’s Cartoon Saloon has just picked up five prestigious awards over the course of two days.
The locally-based studio’s latest feature Wolfwalkers picked up the Best Animated Feature Award at four of the US Film Critics Circle Awards, while it also scooped top prize at the Dublin equivalent.
The Film Critics Associations of New York, Boston, Los Angeles and Chicago chose the beautiful film set in Kilkenny over two Pixar films, Soul and Onwards, and also children’s favourite Shaun the Sheep – Farmageddon.
ese latest awards come hot on the heels of a perfect 100/100 on Rotten Tomatoes, 5-Stars awarded by The Guardian newspaper, and BBCs list of 2020 must see films, where they called it the best animation of 2020.
