PICTURED: Silage trailer crashes into historic Kilkenny bridge built in 1775
This is the moment that a tractor’s silage trailer crashed into the 18th century bridge at Kells in Co Kilkenny yesterday.
“Gardaí attended a single vehicle RTC involving a tractor and trailer that occurred in Kells village, Co Kilkenny, a Garda spokesperson told the Irish Farmers Journal.
“The trailer overturned and collided with a bridge. No injuries were reported. Investigations ongoing.”
Part of the iconic bridge, which was built in 1775, was badly damaged with part of it partially destroyed with the trailer spilling its load into the Kings River.
