Horse play: Plans to build new equine training building at Kilkenny college
An agricultural college has unveiled plans to build a new equine education training building on its ground in county Kilkenny.
Teagasc, the State agency providing research, advisory and education in agriculture, horticulture, food and rural development in Ireland, has also sought permission from Kilkenny County Council to build a new car park for 150 spaces at Kildalton College in Piltown, which is a protected structure.
In its planning application, Teagasc said the car park will consist of an “asphalt finish to roads and parking spaces, concrete footpaths, lighting, drainage and all associated site works at the location of the existing temporary car park”.
The new training building also included drainage and “all associated site works”.
