Plans to transform derelict creamery in Kilkenny village into new homes rejected

Plans to transform a derelict creamery in a Kilkenny village into houses and apartments have been rejected.

Kilkenny County Council refused developer David Flynn’s plans to build 14 new homes on the 0.25 hectare site at Dargan, beside Kilmacow village.

The developer had hoped to build five three-bed and three two-bed homes, as well as four two-bed and two three-bed apartments on the site.

Mr Flynn also requested permission to demolish all the existing storage buildings on the site.

The developer now has four weeks to appeal the council’s decision to An Bord Pleanála.
