Michael (Mick) Byrne, Highfield, Drogheda and formerly of Castletobin, Callan, Co. Kilkenny; 18th September 2020, peacefully in his 92nd year, in the warm and gentle care of the wonderful staff of Oriel Level 2 in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Predeceased by his son Brian and daughter Katie, his parents Philip and Mary (nee Gunn), his brothers Seán, Peter, Tom and Nicholas, and his sister Biddy. Sorely missed and forever loved by his loving wife of 57 years Maura (nee Allen), his children Mícheál, Mary Quinn, Noreen Curran and Siobhán McDermott, his daughter-in-law Winnie, his sons-in-law, Mitchel, Michael and Tommy, his granddaughters Sinéad, Tara, Ciara, Niamh, Aisling, Orla and Eimear, his brothers Philip and Brian, his sisters-in-law, his brothers-in-law, his many nieces and nephews, his relatives and a large circle of friends.
Reposing at his home from 7pm on Saturday evening until 7pm on Sunday evening. In keeping with current government guidelines regarding public gatherings, Michael’s funeral will be private for family and close friends only. It will be streamed live on www.youtube.com/user/finnegandvd from Holy Family Church, Drogheda at 1pm on Monday. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. House private to family members only on Sunday night and Monday morning please. Family flowers only.
Please follow government guidelines and advice on social distancing, refrain from shaking hands and kindly wear a mask. Those who would have liked to attend the funeral but cannot do so, are invited to leave a personal message in the condolence section here.

Deeply regretted by her loving husband James, son Thomas, daughters Mary, Connie, Esther and Edel, brothers Ned and Michael, sisters Bridie and Margaret, sons-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
In keeping with government guidelines regarding public gatherings, Josie’s remains will arrive on Monday at St. Beacon’s Church, Mullinavat, for requiem Mass at 12.30pm. Burial after in the adjoining cemetery.
