REST IN PEACE: Kilkenny Death Notices

Mary WALSH (née Brennan)
Gaol Road, Kilkenny City

Walsh (nee Brennan) (7 Gaol Road, Kilkenny) 26th March 2021, peacefully, at St. Luke’s Hospital. Mary, beloved wife of the late Christy and much loved mother of Marie, Teresa, Tommy, Vera, Rita, Kevin, Cathriona, the late Kathleen, and Paula and Jimmy who both died in infancy, sadly missed by her loving family, brothers Kevin and Basil, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

In accordance with current Government/H.S.E. guidelines and in the interest of public health and the safety of our most vulnerable, a private family funeral will take place for Mary, with Requiem Mass celebrated on Monday (29th March) at 11am in St. Mary’s Cathedral, Kilkenny (max of 10 in church). House private please.

Maura BORAN

AURA BORAN : 25TH MARCH, 2021

DRUMGOOLE, CASTLECOMER, CO. KILKENNY.

Peacefully at Drakelands Nursing Home, Kilkenny. Maura will sadly missed by her loving family, daughters Joan, Catherine and Maura, sons John and Tony, sisters Therese and Berna, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, and will be fondly remembered by her extended family and friends.

A private Family Funeral will take place for Maura, with Requiem Mass celebrated on Saturday, 27th March, at 2pm in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Castlecomer, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery (max. 10 people in church).

Donal (DONIE) GEARY
Bigwood, Mullinavat/Slieverue

Donal (Donie) Geary, Ballincrea, Slieverue, Co. Kilkenny, who died on 26th March 2021.

Peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family, predeceased by his parents Daniel and Ellen, brothers and sisters. Donie will be sadly missed by his loving wife Betty (née Doyle), daughter Elizabeth, son-in-law Oisín, darling granddaughter Betty, brother Pat, sister Lily (Lanigan), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, family, neighbours and many friends.

Donie’s removal will take place on Sunday, 28th March, from his home to Saint Paul’s Church, Bigwood, arriving for Requiem Mass at 11.30am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

James (Jimmy) McCARTHY 
9 Commeragh View, Mooncoin, Kilkenny/Waterfor

Known fondly as “The Masher”, Jimmy passed away peacefully. Husband of the late Mary and brother of the late Peter and Paddy. Deeply regretted by his loving daughter Margaret, sons Jason, Joseph and Christopher, grandchildren Dylan, Cian, Denzel and Zara, sisters Mary and Alice, brothers Billy and Anthony, son-in-law Fred, daughter-in-law Tina, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In keeping with current government guidelines and in the interest of public health and safety, Jimmy’s remains will arrive on Saturday at The Church of the Assumption, Mooncoin for private Funeral Mass at 12.00 noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
