REST IN PEACE: Kilkenny Death Notices

Ann FENNELLY (née Maher)
Maudlin Street, Kilkenny City

Fennelly (nee Maher) (46 Maudlin Street, Kilkenny) 17th January 2022, peacefully, at Castlecomer District Hospital, Ann, beloved wife of Noel and much loved mother of Amanda, sadly missed by her husband and daughter, sisters Mary and Kit, brother Dick. Amanda’s partner Derek, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Requiem Mass for Ann will be celebrated on Friday (21st Jan) at 10.30am in St. John’s Church, Kilkenny and will be followed by a private family cremation at 1.45pm in Mount Jerome Crematorium, Dublin.

Monica HATTON (née Blanchfield)
Rathfarnham, Dublin/Thomastown, Kilkenny

HATTON (née Blanchfield) Monica (Rathfarnham, Dublin and late of Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny) – January 17, 2022, peacefully, at home, surrounded by her family, in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late John and loving mother of Ann, John, Brian, Maura, Ben, Monica, Paul, Jim, David and the late Gerard. Very sadly missed by her children, sisters Theresa and Mary, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, her 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Mass on Thursday (Jan 20) at 11.30am in the Church of the Annunciation, Rathfarnham, followed by burial at Mount Jerome Cemetery.

O’Dwyer (nee Wall) (66 St. Fiacre’s Place, Kilkenny) 17th January 2022, peacefully, at home in the presence of her family, Patricia (Pat), predeceased by her loving husband Jim, son Paul and grandson Luke, sadly missed by her loving family, daughters Patsy, Angela, Claire and Tara, sons Paddy, Tony, Kevin, Jamie and Shane, sister and brother Esther and Bobby Buckley, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Removal fro her home on Thursday morning at 10.30am arriving for Requiem Mass in St. Patrick’s Church at 11am. Funeral afterwards to Foulkstown Cemetery. House is private please.

Stasia TIERNEY (née McHugh)
Bamford Cross, Kells Road, Kilkenny City

The death has occurred of Stasia Tierney (Nee McHugh), Bamford Cross, Kells Road, Co. Kilkenny. Stasia is predeceased by her loving husband Tony. She is survived by her cherished daughters Nicola and June, granddaughters Jade and Blake Ryan, her brother Eamon McHugh and sister Ann McGrath, her nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Stasia’s remains will arrive at St. Joseph’s Church, Foulkstown, Co. Kilkenny, on Thursday the 20th of January for 12pm Mass. Burial in the Church of the Holy Cross, Cuffessgrange, immediately afterwards.

Please follow the strict Covid-19 government guidelines if you are planning on attending the funeral.
