ROADS ALERT: Kilkenny gardai out in force on M9, motorist clocked doing 162kmph
KILKENNY motorists are being urged to slow down on our roads this weekend as torrential rainfall makes driving conditions treacherous.
Kilkenny, Carlow, Wexford and Munster were included in a 24-hour status yellow rainfall warning issued by Met Éireann, which came into effect at 12pm today.
Meanwhile, traffic gardai were out in force on the M9 Motorway over the weekend. Officers conducted speed checks at Thomastown and Carlow, with a number of offences detected.
One driver was clocked doing 162kmph (pictured below) on the motorway.
