THE Wine Centre in Kilkenny is celebrating an incredible SEVEN Leinster Off-Licence of the Year award wins in a row.
The John Street based-business received its latest accolade at the NOFFLA (National Off-Licence Association) Awards night in Dublin last week.
It is the seventh consecutive year The Wine Centre team have scooped the Leinster accolade.
The awards, now in their 23rd year, “recognise and showcase excellence in the independent off-licence sector”. They also recognise retailers that offer “exceptional customer service and demonstrate excellence in retail standards”.
Speaking after receiving their latest award, The Wine Centre manager Mark Tormey told KilkennyNow.ie: “We are absolutely delighted to have won the award again. Winning the award is a culmination of the knowledge of my team Pavel and Dante and the great range of products we offer. We are constantly seeking out new ranges and Irish products from craft and small producers that epitomise what The Wine Centre is about; selection, expertise, quality, value for money.”
The Wine Centre is in danger of running out of space in its trophy cabinet: the Kilkenny off-licence has won a NOFFLA award every year for the past nine years. Their silverware includes the Customers Service of the Year award in 2011, Spirits Specialist of the Year in 2012, to go alongside their Leinster Off-Licence of the Year trophies.
The Wine Centre is an independent family off-licence that has been serving the people of Kilkenny from its iconic premises on John Street for the past 60 years.
They have a wide range of wine, whiskey and craft beer with expert staff that are passionate about sharing their drinks knowledge. Over the past year, the store has also started to grow their online presence with online ordering and an innovative ‘Click & Collect’ facility.
