SPONSORED: Fun, games and adventure at Kilkenny Activity Centre
After being cooped up at home for so long, many parents will be looking forward to the day when the kids can get out from under their feet and dive back into some quality outdoor activities.
And when the Covid-19 restirctions are lifted, they can find the perfect answer at the Kilkenny Activity Centre.
It is an innovative outdoor entertainment centre with trained and qualified instructors. Activities include paintball, splatball, bubble soccer, giant darts and The Cube, an outdoor team building activity.
And this amazing centre on the outskirts of Kilkenny city is most definitely not just for the children. It caters for birthday parties, hen and stag parties, corporate team building events and sports club outings, as well as communions and family days.
There’s the Hell’s Kitchen assault course, a military-style course strewn with obstacles, rough ground and swampland. One false step can land you in the swamp – or into the firing line of the water canons!
And there’s Water Wars, where teams battle it out in games like Capture the Flag’ and ‘Protect the President. Instead of shooting each other with paintballs they are armed with water balloons and it’s a case of drench or be drenched.
Another fun activity, Footdarts, has proved specially popular with stag parties. Armed with just your football skills, you step up to the board and see which of your group can get the highest score in variations of the darts games, ‘301’, ‘Around the Clock’ and ‘Shanghai’.
You also have the chance to test your hurling skills in Hurling Darts or try your hand at Archery Darts, with high-powered bows and velcro arrows.
All family activities are instructor-led. Parents can join their kids playing Bubble Soccer and get shot at in Splatball. Or they can just sit back in the coffee dock while the family gets mucked up on the assault course.
If you require overnight accommodation, it can be arranged through Kilkenny Activity Centre’s sister company, Kilkenny Concierge. And the centre can provide transport from your accommodation and to locations in the city.
Kilkenny Activity Centre opened its doors in 2014 and has gone from strength to strength. It has featured on BBC, RTE, and TV3 and is regularly praised by people who have enjoyed its many amenities. It has received some fantastic reviews, especially on Facebook, where it is rated 4.9 (out of five) in more than 500 reviews.
“The experience of people visiting us is memorable,” said owner Eddie Dwyer. “Kilkenny Activity Centre aims to provide a phenomenal experience and the reviews, on Google Reviews and Tripadvisor, as well as Facebook, show we are doing just that.”
Whether you are planning a corporate event, a party, or a bit of family fun at the weekend, Kilkenny Activity Centre has what you are looking for. For groups of 10 or more it will tailor an event to your specific requirements.
