AN innovative Kilkenny start-up is turbo-charged for success after its motor-mad owner identified a gap in the local market.
Turbo Service was set up by Lukasz Rutkiewicz, and it’s the first locally based business to source new and reconditioned turbochargers for all automotive and commercial vehicles in Kilkenny and the South East.
Up until now, vehicle owners and motor enthusiasts had to travel to Dublin to source turbochargers.
Lukasz said: “My brother owns a garage, and he had to source turbochargers for his customers from Dublin. We wanted to make them more accessible for the people of Kilkenny and the South East, so we’re delighted to set up the business here.”
Lukasz has put down roots in Kilkenny after he moved to Ireland from his native Poland 14 years ago.
He opened his state-of-the-art workshop on Gaol Road last year, and now the business is thriving.
Lukasz says Turbo Service’s clients are mostly male, between 25 and 50 years old, but he also has several loyal female customers.
Turbo Service provides a complete suite of turbo-related services, including:
*Turbocharger Rebuilds;
*Turbocharger Repairs/Overhauls;
*Turbo Upgrades;
*Custom Turbo Builds;
*Turbo Balancing;
*Turbo Assembly;
*Supercharger Rebuilds;
*Turbocharger Sales and Service;
The business also operates a Custom Turbo Machine Shop Service.
Turbo Service operate a nationwide ‘next day’ delivery service and boasts clients from all over the country.
Lukasz explains: “Customers can do business with us much quicker, rather than waiting for a delivery from Dublin.”
Turbo Service also offers a warranty to the original purchaser for the repair or replacement of their turbocharger for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase.
Lukasz is also planning to expand his services to include reconditioning injectors, as this service is not currently available in Kilkenny.
