Thieves break into Kilkenny farm and make off with large cattle trailer
Thieves broke into a farm in county Kilkenny under the cover of darkness before making off with a cattle trailer.
The break-in occurred at the farm in Riversfield, Callan sometime between 4.30pm on Thursday evening and 9.30am the next morning.
A local Garda spokesperson confirmed the lock on a gate “was broken in order to gain access”.
A silver cattle box, which can hold up to six livestock at a time, was taken from the property.
Gardaí in Callan have appealed to anyone who may have notices any suspicious activity in the area at the time to contact them.
