Cystic Fibrosis Ireland’s is looking for volunteers in Kilkenny to help with their annual flagship fundraising appeal 65 Roses Day on April 10.
’65 Roses’ is how some children first learn how to say ‘Cystic Fibrosis’ and the symbol for the condition in this country is a purple rose.
Cystic Fibrosis Ireland depend on voluntary income and donations to provide services and supports to people with Cystic Fibrosis in Ireland.
65 Roses Day is a major fundraising campaign and helps Cystic Fibrosis Ireland fund the services we provide such as exercise grants, transplant grants, bereavement counselling etc.
Cystic Fibrosis is an inherited condition that primarily affects the lungs and digestive system.
Ireland has among some of the most severe strains of Cystic Fibrosis and also has the highest incidence in the world, with three times the rate of the United States and the rest of the European Union.
