WEATHER FORECAST: It’s a washout – Kilkenny braced for heavy showers this week
Kilkenny is braced for another washout as Met Éireann warned we’re in for very wet few days ahead.
Today will start sunny with occasional scattered showers but the rain will gradually ease and eventually die out throughout the afternoon with highest temperatures of between 9 to 12 degrees.
The rain will gradually clear eastwards tomorrow morning followed by some welcome sunny spells. Showers will develop in the south and west towards evening with the mercury rising to up to 13 degrees.
Met Éireann said Wednesday will be a “bright day with sunshine and showers” with highest temperatures of up to 9 to 11 degrees.
Heavy rain will develop overnight and the national forecaster said Thursday will be a “mild, breezy and wet day with spells of rain in all areas” and highest temperatures of between 13 to 15 degrees.
Further spells of rain are forecast for Friday, although it will be milder with highest temperatures of 14 to 16 degrees.
Met Éireann said current indications suggest the weather will continue mild and unsettled over the weekend “with spells of heavy rain or showers and with strong winds at times”.
