WEATHER FORECAST: Lockdown in sunshine – Kilkenny set for bright and sunny week

Kilkenny can look forward to a largely bright and sunny week we adjust our lifestyles to the strict lockdown measures to combat the spread of the coronavirus.

Met Éireann said today will be another dry, but slightly cooler, day with sunny spells. Frost and any mist or fog patches will clear this morning, giving way to a bright day with highest temperatures of between 8 to 11 degrees.

The forecast for tomorrow and Wednesday is similar, with dry sunny spells and temperatures of up to 11 and 12 degrees, with a risk of the “odd light shower or spot of drizzle at times,” according to the national forecaster.

Kilkenny is likely to escape the rain forecast for northern coasts on Thursday, although “unsettled weather” is expected to make a return in the lead up to next weekend, Met Éireann warned.
