WEEKEND FORECAST: Kilkenny braced for more unsettled weather
Kilkenny is set to experience more unsettled weather this weekend, with wet and cold conditions expected, the national forecaster has warned.
Met Éireann said today will begin cloudy, cold and frosty but showers are expected later in the evening.
The forecaster said it will be “dry with spells of sunshine for the first half of the day but cloud will steadily thicken from the west and rain will move in during the evening”, with highest temperatures of between 5C to 8C.
Tonight will be wet and windy, with the rain continuing for most of Saturday, although temperatures will be a mild 12C before plummting to 2C overnight.
Sunday will begin quite bright and dry, but it will remain quite chilly. It is expected to be a calm but cold day with temperatures not expected to rise above 7C.
The unsettled conditions are likely to continue into Monday, which is likely to be overcast and showery, according to Met Éireann.
