A further nine pass away as just 24 new cases diagnosed
A further nine people lost their lives from Covid-19 in the Republic of Ireland in the last 24 hours, the HSE said this evening.
The total death toll here is now 1,678 while the number of confirmed cases has now reached 25,183 after another 24 were diagnosed.
Meanwhile, Penneys is to reopen all its stores across the country between June 12 and June 15 following the lifting of Covid-19 restrictions under Phase Two.
In a statement, the store said stores with street access from the street will open first on Friday, June 12 and then the remainder in shopping centres on June 15.
