Major search underway after elderly man seen entering River Nore
A major search is underway along the River Nore following reports that an elderly man entered the river, KCLR is reporting.
Garda Siochana, the Fire Bridgade and a helicopter from the Coast Guard’s fleet are all currently searching the area.
According to reports, it is believed he entered the Nore between 2-2.30pm after he was last seen near the lacken walk.
