Kilkenny County Council gives €250,000 towards seven community-led projects
CULTURAL art spaces, playgrounds, and scout halls are among the projects to receive funding as part of Kilkenny County Council’s €250,000 its Community and Cultural Facilities Capital Grant Scheme.
This year, seven projects receive contributions from the council towards the capital cost of community-led cultural and amenity facilities.
In all 16 applications were received and seven projects approved for funding. These projects are:
- Freshford Playground Committee
- St Canice’s Neighbourhood Hall, The Butts, Kilkenny City
- Thomastown Scouts
- Pil River Park, Piltown
- Trasna Productions Ltd, Callan
- Mooncoin Celtic, Mooncoin
- Paulstown Development Association
Those projects who did not receive an allocation this time round are encouraged to reapply next year and to engage with the Council’s Community Section as early as possible and take on board advice and support available.
