Paul’s milk quality is ahead of the herd

ARRABAWN Co-op’s leading suppliers have been rewarded for their dedication to improving milk quality by being chosen as winners of the Animal Health Ireland CellCheck Milking Quality Awards for the year.

Among the suppliers who made the grade was Paul Brennan of Paulstown, Co Kilkenny (pictured above receiving his award).

The awards are presented to suppliers who consistently reach high levels for their cell count – as many as 100 tests per year are carried out on their milk.

The aim of the programme is to improve cell count levels and, in turn, herd health and profitability for suppliers.
