Kilkenny hosts concert to mark World Homeless Day
By COLIN BARTLEY
NEXT Thursday is World Homeless Day and a Kilkenny organisation is holding a concert to raise awareness about homelessness and raise money to help its efforts of creating accommodation.
The Rafter Family and Friends of the Good Shepherd Choir are hosting two concerts in St Canice’s Cathedral to highlight homelessness and raise funds in aid of the Good Shepherd Centre.
The concerts are being held this Saturday and Sunday at 8pm. Tickets for both nights are available from The Good Shepherd Centre Kilkenny in Church Lane and Rollercoaster Records in Kieran Street and cost €20.
World Homeless Day is held on October 10 every year, an international day to raise awareness and encourage local communities to help the homeless.
