Gardai probe bizarre break-in at county Kilkenny home
By COLIN BARTLEY
BURGLARS forced their way into a vacant county Kilkenny house but then fled without stealing anything.
The thieves forced their way into the house at Kilrush, Freshford, between 12.30pm last Thursday and 9.30am on Friday.
The burglars forced open a window at the back of the house, which was vacant at the time, to gain entry.
Once inside, they made their way to a bedroom, rummaged through a wardrobe but fled the scene without taking anything from the house.
Gardai have urged anyone who may noticed anything suspicious in the area at the time to contact Freshford Garda Station on 056 883 2122.
