Gang break into county Kilkenny Credit Union, flee empty-handed

LOCAL gardai are hunting three men who were involved in the break-in of a county Kilkenny Credit Union overnight.

Two men forced open the front door of Goresbridge Credit Union shortly after 1.30am.

After gaining entry, the men then tried to break into the office’s filing cabinets but failed.

A third man, the driver, was waiting outside the front door in a silver Audi A4. When the two men got into the car, it sped down High Street and over the village bridge. The car made off in the direction of Borris, county Carlow.
