BREAKING: Suspect held on Nadine charge to have psychiatric assessment

The man held in connection with the assault of Nadine Lott has been further remanded in custody while he is also to be subject to psychiatric assessment.

Daniel Murtagh (32) Melrose Avenue, Clondalkin, appeared before Bray District Court earlier and is currently charged with assault causing serious harm.

Judge David Kennedy granted  an order for the preparation of a psychiatric report following a request by Barrister Éamonn O’Moore while no application was made for bail.

The case come before Clover Hill District Court on January 14 when the defendant will appear via video link.

The alleged assault on Ms Lott (30) was in the early hours of last Saturday morning in Arklow, Co Wicklow. She died on Tuesday in hospital.
