St Luke’s to remain closed to visitors until the weekend due to flu outbreak
St Luke’s General Hospital remains closed to visitors for the rest of the week as staff battle with an outbreak of the flu virus.
Visitors are being told to stay away from St Luke’s unless their visit is absolutely necessary.
A spokesperson for the hospital told KilkennyNow.ie: “The hospital remains closed to visitors at the moment due to a number of people reporting with the flu.
“The decision has been made to keep the hospital closed to visitors until Friday at the earliest when a review of the situation will take place.
“The public is asked not to visit the hospital until advised to do so and only to attend if absolutely necessary. If visitors are attending, we ask them not to bring children if at all possible.”
