Mick McCarthy leaves post as Ireland manager – report
Mick McCarthy has left his position as Republic of Ireland football manager following discussions with the FAI, according to Newstalk.
His contract was due to finish on August 1 and he will be succeeded by Stephen Kenny.
The Republic of Ireland were due to play Slovakia in a Euro 2020 playoff but that has been postponed indefinitely due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
