Have a happy – and safe – Halloween: emergency services
KILKENNY emergency services are appealing to young people to stay safe this Halloween.
Every year, fire and emergency services are flat out dealing with incidents, some involving dangerous fireworks, which continue to be bought and sold illegally across the country in the countdown to Halloween.
Gardai in neighbouring Carlow are investigating one such incident over the weekend in which a young man was struck by a firework.
However, it is understood he was not seriously hurt in the incident.
