One person dies as 24 new cases confirmed
There was one death from Covid-19 in the Republic of Ireland in the last 24 hours, the HSE said this evening.
The total death toll here is now 1,764 while the number of confirmed cases has now reached 25,869 after another 24 were diagnosed.
Over 15.8 million people have been infected by Covid-19 globally with 638,271 deaths, according to Reuters.
Outbreaks have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since December 2019 when the virus was first reported in Wuhan.
