WEEKEND WEATHER: Whisper it but Kilkenny might see some proper sunshine

Finally, it looks like there’s some sunshine on the horizon for Kilkenny, according to Met Eireann

The national forecaster says we are in for a couple of dry days ahead despite a showery start to the weekend.

Today will start off dry before outbreaks of rain will move eastwards with some heavy bursts in places.

Highest temperatures of 20 to 23 degrees while tonight the rain will clear slowly before fresher conditions sweep in.

Saturday will be dry with good sunshine spells and light easterly or variable breezes. Highest temperatures generally between 20 and 23 degrees

Saturday night will be dry and clear with light easterly or variable breezes with minimum temperatures of 10 to 12 degrees with isolated mist patches about.

Sunday is expected to be dry with a mix of cloud and sunny spells with afternoon highs generally between 20 and 24 degrees.

Sunday night will be mainly dry with lowest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees with light breezes.
