‘A great character’ – warm tributes paid to young Kilkenny father killed in road tragedy
Tributes have been paid to the man who was tragically killed a a road crash in county Kilkenny earlier this week.
James Cody Junior, frmo Sion Hill Road in the city was pronounced dead at the scene after the car he was driving left the road near Killamery, Callan on the N76 at around 11am on Tuesday.
James was living in Kilkenny city and leaves behind a partner and his baby daughter. He will be buried after a private family mass in the city tomorrow.
Many people paid warm tributes to the Kilkenny father-of-one as they offered their condolances to his devastated family online after news of his death emerged. He was described variously as “a great character” and “a gentle soul always put a smile of everyone’s face”.
Meanwhile, gardai are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the crash that claimed the life of the young father-of-one.
A Garda spokesperson said investigating officers are appealing “to any road users who were travelling in the Callan area between 10.30am and 11.30am” on Tuesday and who may have dash cam footage to come forward.
