Thief steals power tools after breaking into van parked in Kilkenny town overnight

A thief broke into a van that was parked in a Kilkenny town overnight and made off with the owner’s power tools.

The theft occurred on Mill Street, Thomastown, overnight between Saturday and Sunday, November 21 – November 22.

A local Garda source confirmed the thief made off with a range of tools, including an angle grinder, hammers, drill bits and chisel after breaking into the white Citroen van.

Gardai in Thomastown are investigating the incident. They have urged witnesses or anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area at the time to contact them.
