Missing a drill? €92,000 of stolen power tools to go on public display this week
DID you have power tools or garden equipment stolen from your home in recent months?
If so, you may be in luck as gardai from the Kilkenny-Carlow division will be putting a massive haul (pictured above) of building tools, power tools, generators and gardening equipment that they recovered from a property earlier this month on public display.
Some of the equipment, which has been valued at a total of €92,000, has already been returned to its rightful owners.
Several homes, sheds and garages across the county have been hit in recent months by a criminal gang targeting valuable power tools.
Kilkenny gardai confirmed the recovered equipment and tools will be put on public display at a premises on O’Brien Road, Carlow (Eircode R93 F2P3) this Friday between 4pm and 10pm, and on Saturday between the hours of 9pm and 6pm.
A Garda spokesperson said: “If you have been the victim of a crime in which such property has been stolen you are invited to come and view the property.”
Directions: Located on N80 Ring Road on O’Brien Road, in Carlow Town between roundabout on R448 (Old Dublin Road at Old Braun Site) and roundabout on R726 (Hacketstown Road). Turn at Maxol Garage on O’Brien Road, the premises is located 50m on right hand side beside GRT Hire.
