LATEST: Kilkenny among 774 new cases of virus as four further deaths confirmed
A further four people have died after contracting the coronavirus as 774 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed this evening.
It brings the overall death toll as a result of the virus to 2,204. There has now been 86,129 confirmed cases of Covid-19 across the country, according to the latest daily briefing from the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET).
The breakdown of the latest cases is as follows: 246 are in Dublin, 131 in Cork, 51 in Limerick, 40 in Wexford, 33 in Donegal with the remaining 243 cases are spread across 19 other counties, including 17 further infections in Kilkenny.
