Kilkenny gardai make a very special delivery to local community hospital
Big hearted local gardai made a very special delivery to a county Kilkenny community hospital over Christmas.
Sergeant Ted Hughes and his colleagues at Thomastown Garda Station organised the initiative between local schools and the St Columba’s Hospital in Thomastown.
In the run up to Chrismas, local school children designed and wrote individual Christmas cards and recorded their own personal video messages to patients and staff at the hospital. The cards were then duly delivered to the hospital by gardai.
A local Garda spokesperson praised the students “for their thoughtful messages to their friends at the hospital”.
