A KILKENNY man was arrested after he smashed a beer keg through the window of a well-known city-centre pharmacy in the early hours of the morning and then tried to loot the premises.

The would-be thief targeted O’Shea’s Pharmacy in Market Yard at around 3.40am last Wednesday morning, gardai confirmed to KilkennyNow.ie.

According to local gardai, the suspect picked up an empty keg of beer and threw it through the front window of the premises, shattering it in the process.
