LATEST: No new cases of virus in Kilkenny

There has been no furtehr coronavirus-related deaths but 403 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed this evening.

The overall death toll as a result of the virus has now reached 4,836. There have now been 243,911 confirmed cases of Covid-19 across the country, according to the latest daily briefing from the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET).

The breakdown of the latest cases is as follows: 174 in Dublin, 34 in Meath, 20 in Kildare, 18 in Mayo, 16 in Cork and the remaining 141 cases are spread across 20 other counties. No new cases of the virus were recorded in Kilkenny.
