Gardai and businesses join forces to keep Kilkenny shoppers safe as city reopens
Kilkenny gardai and businesses have joined forces as part of a new initiative to keep shoppers and staff safe as the Covid-19 restrictions are lifted.
Retailers and businesses across the city and county have been busy in recent days as they prepare to reopen their doors to the public for the first time in months.
To ensure public safetly, local gardai, Kilkenny Chamber of Commerce and Kilkenny City Task Force relaunched ‘Operation Shopsafe’ in the city this week.
A Garda spokesperson said: “As businesses reopen, we appeal to the public to continue to adhere to all safety measures when out and about. Park smart and keep all personal belongings secure when shopping.”
