Popular county Kilkenny café stars in new national ad campaign
A popular county Kilkenny café is featuring in a new national advertising campaign.
The Blackberry Café in Thomastown and its owner Jackie Hoyne star in the ads for the National Dairy Council.
The aim of the ad campaign is to support the food service sector, which was particularly hard hit during the pandemic.
Bord Bia estimates that Ireland’s food industry contracted by half during the Covid-19 crisis with the closure of restaurants, pubs, hotels and coffee shops.
The campaign runs across out of home, print and online media and is aimed at reinforcing the impact and restoring consumer confidence in dairy products.
NDC research pointed to a 48% increase in dairy consumption during the pandemic. Almost a third of young adults without children say their consumption of dairy products is up.
