REST IN PEACE: Kilkenny Death Notices

O’Brien (Cedarwood Avenue, Loughboy, Kilkenny) 4th July 2021, peacefully, at Castlecomer District Hospital, after a short illness, Miriam, pre-deceased by her parents Jim and Mary, sadly missed by her loving brother Michael, niece Joanne, nephew Kerry, grandniece Holly, extended family, neighbours and friends.

In accordance with current restrictions, a private Funeral for family and close friends will take place for Miriam. Funeral arriving at St. Fiacre’s Church, Loughboy on Monday (5th July) for Reception Prayers at 7 o’clock. Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 12 noon on Tuesday (6th July) with interment afterwards in Foulkstown Cemetery. (max of 50 people in the Church). Beloved sister of Philip, John and the late Richard and Vincent, sadly missed by her loving brothers, sisters-in-law Marie and Olive, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, extended family and friends.

Due to current restrictions, a private family funeral will take place on Monday (July 5th) in The Church of the Assumption, The Rower, (max 50 people in the church) followed by burial afterwards in The Rower Cemetery. Peacefully, after a short illness, in the wonderful care of the staff of Tipperary University Hospital Clonmel. Predeceased by his parents John and Madge, brother Andy, sisters Mary, Rita and Betty, brothers in law Pat, Johnny and Eddie, sister in law Helen. Will be sadly missed by his loving wife Kay (née Hayes), daughter Margaret, sons Patrick, Kieran and Mark, grandchildren Ella, Holly and Jack, daughters in law Sara, Theresa and Donna, Margaret’s partner Conor, brothers James, John and Christy, sister Anna, nephews, nieces, brothers in law, sisters in law, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at his residence, for family and close friends, on Sunday 4th July, from 2pm to 6pm. Leaving his residence on Monday, 5th July, at 10.30am, to arrive at Holycross Abbey at 11am for Requiem Mass at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Numbers are limited to 50 persons in the Abbey. The Mass can be viewed at churchservices.tv/holycrossabbey

James Phelan, Rathbane, Galmoy, Co. Kilkenny, July 2nd 2021. Peacefully, at the Sacred Heart Nursing Home, Crosspatrick. Sadly mourned by his wife Joan and family Helen, also remembering baby infant Siobhan predeceased, Sandra, Donal, Brendan and Leanne, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, his brother Sean, relatives and friends.

Due to COVID-19 Directive and the ongoing risk of infection due to the Delta variant a private funeral has been arranged. The funeral mass will be live streamed (https://churchcamlive.ie/galmoy-parish-live-stream/) from the Church of The Immaculate Conception, Galmoy, on Sunday at 12 noon followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.
