BREAKING: Woman in critical condition after horror three-car crash near Kilkenny border
A woman has been seriously injured in a three-car collision outside New Ross, near the Kilkenny border.
Gardai this evening appealed for witnesses to the collision, which occurred ar around 4pm yesterday R734 between Slaught and The Five Roads.
A Garda spokesperson confirmed the victim, who is in her 50s, was taken to Tallaght University Hospital where her condition is described as “critical”.
Another woman in her 20s, the driver of a second car, was taken to Waterford University Hospital to be treated for her injuries, which are said to be “serious but not life threatening”. No other injuries were reported at the scene.
Garda forensic collision investigators carried out at examination of the scene and the road has since reopened.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to come forward. Any road users who were travelling in this area and who may have camera footage are asked to make it available to Gardaí.
