Thieves force open back door and ransack house in Kilkenny town
Burglars broke into a house in county Kilkenny ransacked the property before fleeing the scene.
The break-in occurred at a house in Firoda, Castlecomer, sometime between 6pm and 8pm on Saturday.
A local Garda source confirmed the thieves gained entry to the house after forcing the back door open.
Gardai have appealed to anyone wo may have noticed any suspicious activity in the area at the time to contact Castlecomer Garda Station.
