Car ‘spiked’ in incident alongside quay in popular Kilkenny beauty spot

A motorist got a nasty surprise after he drove over a series of spikes that that were stuck onto the white paint of a stop sign along the quay side of a picturesque county Kilkenny town.

Gardai confirmed they are investigating a case of criminal damage after the incident occurred in Graiguenamanagh sometime between 11pm and midnight on Friday.

A local Garda spokesperson said the spikes on the road became embedded in the car’s tyres.

They have appealed to anyone with information about the incident to contact their local Garda Station.
