It could be you two! Kilkenny’s €1m Lotto winning store strikes it lucky again
KILKENNY’S €1 million Lotto winning shop has done it again!
The Londis Callan Co-Op shop sold a €2,000 winning ticket to a second punter – on the same day one lucky person purchased the €1 million ticket that is the talk of the town.
Store manager Stephen Walsh also revealed today that rumours are circulating that a local man bought the one-in-a-million ticket, but they have yet to officially come forward.
Stephen told KilkennyNow.ie: “There is one local fella alright that a few people are alluding to, but nothing has been confirmed so far.
“As you can imagine there’s been lots of rumours circulating, but whoever wins it you’d be hopeful its someone that would need it, that it would make a difference to.”
Earlier today, a Lotto spokesperson confirmed the lucky winner had yet to come forward to claim their €1 million prize, but stressed it’s still early days.
And the Londis Callan Co-Op had another reason to celebrate after it sold a €2,000 winning Lotto ticket to a local milk supplier, who is not from Callan but regularly passes through the shop and the town.
Stephen joked the store is probably the luckiest shop in Ireland right now. And the canny salesman urged people to flock to the shop to try out their luck while the going is good.
He told KilkennyNow.ie: “We’ve an old holly bush there outside the door – people can have a rub off it before they come into the shop and they might strike it lucky too!”
The National Lottery is urging all ticket holders to check if they have the winning numbers.
The winning numbers to claim the €1 million weekend jackpot prize are 10, 11, 17, 29, 30, 31. The bonus number is 36.
