Significant drop in social housing waiting list in Kilkenny: department
There has been a significant drop in the number of people on waiting lists for social housing in Kilkenny.
New figures released by the Department of Housing, Local Governmand and Heritage reveal waiting lists have dropped by 62% over the past five years.
Last November there were 656 households in Kilkenny on the waiting list for social homes in the city and county.
This was just over a fifth (21%) lower than the figure recorded in 2020.
