ALERT: Kilkenny gardai warn of latest email scam doing the rounds

Kilkenny gardai have issued a warning about a new scam targeting householders.

People have been getting emails circulated by fraudsters falsely claiming to be a “support team” from An Post, saying a package “was damaged during transportation, causing the address information to be lost and unable to be delivered”.

They are then asked to click on a link and update their address details.

But a local garda spokesperson said the email is “yet another scam” and urged people to “beware” , adding: “Don’t click the link.”
